About this event

Join the OT team on an interactive workshop designed to help you understand the principles of sensory processing theory.

By bringing our wealth of knowledge of sensory processing, real life home and classroom scenarios and solutions, We'll focus on how to get the very best out of your sensory resources, help you understand the concept of providing a sensory circuits and diet and give you the chance to see some strategies in practice.

sensory support is becoming an increasingly important role in more and more settings which aim to help children manage daily sensory difficulties such as stress, behavioural difficulties, anxiety and processing.

Some of the areas addressed in our training include:

- Introduction into sensory processing- Ways to include sensory experiences in the classroom to support regulation and learning- Practical session: creating sensory supports at little or no cost- Creating a sensory area/room on a budget or with the aid of a grant!- Question and answer session

Additionally, we will explore signs and give strategies, use a mixture of resources that can already be found within your setting,

This is provided over 1 hour. Every attendee will take away a better understanding of the importance of sensory provision, fundamental best practice and practical tools to put this into effect.
