October half term Learn to Ride Sessions at The Bike Dock, Sunderland
Event Information
Description
Get onto two wheels without stabilisers!
During the session we turn each child's bike into a balance bike by removing stabilisers and pedals. Once they’ve got their balance we put on the pedals and off they go! We restrict numbers at each session to ensure each child gets lots of support and therefore booking is essential. Please book one ticket per child taking part.
To take part, each child will need a helmet and a bike that is small enough for the child’s feet to be flat on the ground

Any child who needs help geting onto two wheels, although from our experience we find it is most suitable for those children over four years old.
What about the weather?
Due to the unpredictable weather make sure you keep your phone handy with you on the morning, if we have to cancel the session we will let you know via the number you give us. Please make sure you all wear suitable clothes for the weather. This goes for the adults too!
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
The session takes place on the National Glass Centre’s (NGC) roof. Free parking is available at the NGC.
Do I have to stay with my child throughout the session?
Yes. A responsible adult must stay with the child at all times. We encourage you to get involved with the session as much as possible too.
Can I book onto more than one session?
No - due to the limited number of places available we ask you only book your child onto one session.
What if my child doesn't manage it this time?
Generally we get children riding stabiliser free in just one session. Some do need a little extra help, and if that’s the case with your child, we can give you lots of top tips to help you keep practising at home.
