This month's deeply Rebooting Restorative Yoga Workshop connects us to Nature & the Gaelic festival of Samhain, marking the end of the harvest season (Celtic New Year) and the beginning of winter or the "darker half" of the year.
TRUE, DEEP, CONSCIOUS REST
The workshop combines gentle, deliciously therapeutic movement patterns (mindful movement & somatics) with sinking into the succulent stillness of Restorative Yoga.
Restorative Yoga focuses on relaxing the body in restful postures with the aid of props. Note that ‘rest’ is different from sleep. Conscious Rest gives the body a deeper opportunity to renew and heal because the autonomic nervous system is invited to rebalance in a nurturing, mindful, gentle way.
With long peaceful pauses, beautiful phases of gentle atmospheric sounds, poetry and Imagery to evoke the healing powers of the imagination, all woven together to evoke a connection to nature, the heart and to the beautiful things that make us human.
With ancient yogic breathing exercises (scientifically proven to reduce stress) & Yoga Nidra (guided relaxation around body). This really is everyone’s favourite way to wind down!
