OD Network - Systems Leadership Laboratory
Fri 31 March 2017, 08:30 – 17:00 BST
Our next OD network sessions will focus on using the Barry Oshry approach to system awareness to support the OD work that you are undertaking in your organisations and local systems.
This Learning Laboratory is based on the Barry Oshry’s work on system awareness enables you to really explore how productive partnership and systems working can be developed and sustained within your own context. It is a dynamic, high impact, experiential learning event, in which we create a real organisational system in the room.
During the first part of the morning, we’ll experience typical power dynamics and we’ll uncover why systems leadership is often really tricky. So much seems to get in the way – not least hierarchies, differing agendas, organisational identities and disempowering cultures.
We will work together to build a shared understanding of leading across systems and for the rest of the day, we will focus on translating this into practice in your own contexts.
The Systems Leadership Lab will equip you to:
enhance your personal leadership effectiveness beyond within and across organisations
relate to colleagues, partner agencies, service users and other leaders more effectively
influence approaches to systems leadership in your stakeholder organisations
build a shared understanding across your network of systems leadership approaches
extend your repertoire of systems leadership skills and understanding
These sessions will be facilitated by Impact4 https://www.impact4.co.uk/
These workshops will be particularly beneficial if you can attend with colleagues from your organisation or partners from across your system. We would therefore encourage you to bring colleagues with you to the workshop so that you can learn together in this dynamic environment.
