About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours

Christianity is a diverse religion that is followed all over the world. This diversity brings richness and

value to one of the most followed religions in the world. Teaching of Christianity should give pupils an understanding of the global perspective of the faith and how different people live and experience it.

This session will explore and develop our understanding of Christianity as a global faith and key beliefs of Christianity beyond festivals. We will consider how Christianity is far reaching around the world and spotlight some Christian traditions from around the globe. We will explore elements of diversity, look at the global dimensions of Christianity, different pictures of Jesus and diversity in beliefs and practices.

We will explore how schools have built links with Christian organisations on a global scale and help you to identify next steps to develop provision in RE and worship.
