On this city walk Olga will take you outside Odessa’s old town to the historic neighborhood of Arcadia. You’ll start the tour with a visit to the Victory Park and the World War Two Memorial. Olga will tell you about Odessa during the Romanian occupation and show you the photographs of the war period.
The tour will proceed with a walk around Arcadia, one of Odessa’s most popular historic neighborhoods. Why was it called Arcadia? Who lives there now? Why did it become known as “Ukrainian Ibitza”? You’ll see the modern city and compare it with how Arcadia looked in the eighteen hundreds and during the Soviet period.
The tour will end at the Black Sea coastline. You’ll get to see local beaches and find out why the Black Sea was called so.
