For Open Data Day this Saturday, Open Data Manchester is hosting an all-day event for anyone who wants to take part in this international event.
Open Data Day is a gathering of citizens in cities around the world to write applications, liberate data, create visualizations and publish analyses using open public data to show support for and encourage the adoption of open data policies by the world's local, regional and national governments.
TechHub Manchester have been good enough to host the event, providing a central location in the city. TaxHack will be running one project, looking into Manchester City Council procurement and analysing council spending for association with tax havens.
If you have any plans for working on your own projects or want to join in with TaxHack company searches, please come down for the day. As always with Open Data Manchester, this event is open to all who are interested in the benfits of open data, no matter your technical ability.
TechHub have a kitchen, so feel free to bring some of your own refreshments. We will be based on the fourth floor, and access to the building is through the glass entrance by the car park.
