Event description

Description

The government is changing off-payroll working rules (also known as IR35) in April 2020. The changes will mean your business will become responsible for adhering to the rules for any worker you engage off-payroll – the responsibility will no longer sit with the Personal Service Company (PSC).

The new rules will bring the private sector into line with changes made in the public sector in April 2017.

At this event Michael Wilson, a Director in KPMG’s Tax Team, will share their experience of implementing the change with public sector organisations and explain how they are supporting their private sector clients in preparing.

Michael will explore the changes to the rules and consider key areas, including the anticipated impact on cost, systems and resources, as well as answering your questions.

For an introduction to IR35 rules and the changes, please visit KPMG's website.

THIS EVENT IS OPEN TO CHAMBER MEMBERS ONLY.

Who should attend this event?

This event will be most relevant to businesses who contract individuals through PSCs, either directly or through agencies and will be of particular interest to finance and HR managers.

Dress code: We do not stipulate a dress code at our events but recommend attendees dress as though they were meeting clients. We recommend smart casual as a minimum.
