You might be led to assume that there is not much wine left to be discovered in France due to its history, prominence and influence on the vinous world stage: Burgundy, Bordeaux and Champagne have shaped the world of wine for the better. But its diversity of terroir, styles and people means that there is so much more awaiting curious tasters. Think flor-aged Savagnin from Franche-Comté; Petit Manseng from the Pyrenees; or perhaps Gamay from the Côte Roannaise.
We love to champion the underdog here at Theatre of Wine, so whether it's lesser-known grapes or appellations doing things differently, Tufnell Park will take you on a journey of new discoveries.
Our shop tastings start at 7.30pm and run for approximately one-and-a-half to two hours. We will taste 6-8 wines on a theme, and bread, cheese and charcuterie is provided to match with the wines. Due to the communal nature of the tasting, we are unable to cater for dietary requirements.
