Frequently asked questions

Who is this for?

Anyone - families, carers, friends, those offering pastoral/spiritual care, professionals, church leaders. Our booklet includes prayer and familiar Bible verses, but may be helpful whatever your beliefs surrounding death.

How do I get your booklet?

Email: hilary.lacroix@prospectsacrossscotland with your name and address. It will be sent to you free of charge but we ask for a minimum donation of £3.00 to cover P&P. It is a high-quality, wire-bound, 50 page colour booklet. We want to get into the hands of people with learning disabilities!

Is the booklet available online?

It can be downloaded FREE from our website: https://www.prospectsacrossscotland.org.uk/sdm_downloads/bereavement-booklet-2/ Please use quality paper and colour printing, plus an attractive binder if using with a bereaved person. You can also print and laminate individual pages if helpful.

Is this session useful without the booklet?

We hope so! We offer ways to talk about death, how grief affects people with learning disabilities, communication and gentle pastoral care. This session may be a helpful first step for you.

Can I bring my questions?

Yes - there will be space to ask questions either directly or using the online chat function - you can either put questions/thoughts to the whole group or anonymously directly to Hilary.
