All the way from Brighton UK, Seb Lee-Delisle is offering a day of official Papervision training in New York City. Learn all the skills you need to create professional 3D Flash projects from the acclaimed Papervision team member and Plug-in Media Technical Director.

We'll start with the basics, showing you how easy it is to set up a Papervision project in 20 seconds! Then give you a solid grounding in the basics, including:

  • scenes, cameras, and viewports
  • primitives
  • materials 
  • shaders
  • interactivity
  • reflections
  • importing 3D models

As the course progresses we'll also be looking at :

  • skyboxes
  • viewport layers and effects
  • texture baking
  • 3D lines 
  • particles
  • augmented reality
  • building a 3D game

Papervision games Plug-in Media case studies Seb at Flash on the Beach

We will also examine several case studies, including Big and Small for BBC and Staraoke for Cartoon Network. 

All attendees will receive official Papervision Certification upon satisfactory completion of the course.

To keep the price down, we ask that you bring your own laptop with a copy of FlexBuilder installed. You will receive course materials shortly before the course starts.

As a teacher, he demystifies programming and explores its artistic possibilities. His presentations and workshops enable artists to overcome their fear of code and encourage programmers of all backgrounds to be more creative and imaginative.

He won 3 Microsoft Critter awards in 2013, including Web Personality of the Year and Voice of the Year (best presenter) and he was Technical Director on Big and Small, the BBC project that won a BAFTA in 2009. Notable clients include BBC, Lego, Sony, Microsoft, Google, MLB, Nickelodeon, Philips, and Unilever
