This event will comprise a presentation and Q & A session on Civil And Marine Engineering activities at the Port of Dundee that support the Seagrean offshore development. Seagreen, located 27km off the Angus coast in the North Sea’s Firth of Forth, is Scotland’s largest wind farm as well as the world’s deepest fixed-bottom offshore wind farm, with its deepest foundation installed at a record 58.7 metres below sea level. Seagreen has the capacity to generate enough renewable electricity to power almost 1.6 million homes annually, equivalent to two-thirds of all Scottish homes. The presentation will give an overview of the offshore works but focus on Civil and Marine Engineering activities at the Port of Dundee to support the project. includes the major Civil Engineering projects at the Port in preparation for the delivery of components as well as the engineering and logistical challenges associated with their storage and despatch.
