Event description

Description

On 19 October, the Government released their landmark consultations on how the new Office for Students (OfS) will operate. The OfS will oversee a new regulatory framework for the sector incorporating "a risk-based approach to higher education with an unflinching focus on the student". The principal consultation sets out this proposed new regulatory approach and what it will mean for the sector and students.

As part of IHE's work in responding on behalf of the independent sector, we are holding a number of events over the next two months to engage with independent providers in responding to the Government's public consultations on the regulation of higher education by the OfS.

This London workshop is open to members and non-members and will take a broad view in supporting providers to respond individually to the consultations, as well as to gather feedback on IHE positions in some key areas.

As the most significant change to England's higher education system in 25 years and the first time that independent providers have had an equal say in how the regulatory framework will operate, it is important both that IHE responds clearly on behalf of the independent sector and that individual providers make their voices heard in order to strengthen our case and raise any specific issues of interest or concern.

Booking information:

This free event is open to Independent Higher Education members and non-members. If you have any further queries about the workshop please email events@independenthe.com.
