Ofsted Toolkit Workshop- Twilight Session

The new Ofsted inspection framework launched on 10th November 2025, bringing significant changes to how early years provision is evaluated.

What's Changed in 2025?

• New 5-point grading system (Exceptional to Urgent Improvement)
• 7 core evaluation areas for early years settings (plus safeguarding)
• Separate early years grade for schools with EYFS provision
• Enhanced focus on communication and language as foundational
• Explicit evaluation of staff wellbeing within leadership
• No overall effectiveness grade – detailed report cards instead
• 'Secure fit' grading – must meet all standards at a level to achieve that grade

Ofsted toolkit - looking in greater detail

This session is designed to give you an opportunity to focus on evaluation aspects and to reflect on practice, network with colleagues and share thoughts, ideas and approaches.

Through using the themes in the toolkit as a starting point for self-evaluation, you will be able to confidently drive your inspection.

There will also be an opportunity to plan how you will support your staff team to feel confident at inspection.

This session is aimed at those in a leadership role.
