Event Details

Just when you thought it was safe...

We are happy to announce that the seventh (yes seventh!) installment of OggCamp, the largest Open Source & Open Culture event in UK. It will take place on October 31st & November 1st 2015 at the LJMU Art & Design Academy in Liverpool. Some other details such as accommodation, promotional artwork and schedule are still to be confirmed. You can, however, be assured that OggCamp15 is indeed happening and it's going to kick ass! Please stay tuned to our Twitter account or subscribe to the news feed and we will update you with more information on the event as soon as we have it ourselves.

STILL NO IDEA WHAT OGGCAMP IS?

WHY THE DONATION THING ON TICKETS?

Good question. Well, putting on an event this size costs money and while we try to cover everything from sponsorship every penny we can get in helps. Nobody gets paid to work on OggCamp and all money recieved will go directly to improving the experience for everyone.

WHAT THE HELL IS A DELEGATE TICKET?!

This is a new ticket type we added at the request of some attendees who need a fixed price ticket in order to claim it on expenses from their company or organisation.

DO I HAVE TO PAY?

No of course you don't! This is a *strictly voluntary* endeavour. There are no tiers of importance for ticketing, everyone will be treated the same. If you want to chip in a donation great, we thank you, if you don't or can't afford it then we totally understand. Nobody should feel under any pressure. We just want you to come along and have a good time.

BOOKING INSTRUCTIONS

There are 2 types of ticket listed because that's the only way we could do it with Eventbrite. There wasn't a "pay what you want" option. So if you are buying tickets for a family of 4 for example but only want to pay once, just book 1 donation ticket and 3 free ones. It's probably the easiest way.

You could just book 1 ticket and bring 4 people if you want, that's fine with us but having ticket numbers helps us judge things like room capacity an refreshments.

Organiser

Team OggCamp

Back in 2009 the hosts of 2 of the most popular Linux & Open Source podcasts in the world, Ubuntu UK Podcast and the Linux Outlaws came together to put on an event celebrating all the things we love. Taking up the mantle of the vastly popular Lugradio Live annual event we've built it into the largest Open Source & Open Culture event in the UK. Every year hundreds of people come along to give a talk, do some hacking, show off their awesome projects and share ideas, or just chill out and enjoy the atmosphere.

The organising team has evolved over the years to encompass more than the original podcast hosts and we work hard to bring you the biggest and best event possible.

Since 2018, OggCamp has been a project of Public Software CIC, a not-for-profit open source fiduciary host.
