OKIDO Art & Science Workshop (Colours) - BRISTOL
Event Information
Description
OKIDO Magazine is an independent arts and science magazine for young children and their families. Created by parents in 2007, OKIDO is designed to fire up imagination and understanding of art and science. Founders, scientist Dr Sophie Dauvois (PhD BSc PG Dip.) and artist Rachel Ortas are passionate about engaging young children in the scientific world around them through play, art and fun.
Each of our workshops are centred around a different topic where we learn about it through discussion, reinforce it with a fun science experiment and make something fun to take home. All of our content is created by scientists and artists and reinforced by educators.
Here's your chance to learn all about colours, conduct a science experiment, and make something fun to take home. We will also be giving away a backissue of OKIDO magazine!
This workshop is most suitable for children aged 3-7. They are a great learning environment to satisfy curious little minds through collaboration, curiosity, exploration, creativity, discovery, and critical thinking.
This activity will be run by Karen and Alice from Let's Make Art.
Lets Make Art is an independent arts organisation based in Bristol. They provide high quality events and a wide variety of well-resourced art workshops that are enjoyed by all ages and abilities. Since starting in 2012 their company has spread its wings and now prides itself as one of the best arts providers in the UK. As well as organising their own events, they work with others to deliver accomplished events, pop-up’s and workshops. Working with like-minded artists and organisation’s Karen and Alice create quirky and diverse ways for everyone to take part in lots of unique and fun activities.
We also screen an episode of Messy Goes to OKIDO in Watershed’s cinema!
