Join us at Redcliffe Wharf for almost two weeks of wholesome Oktoberfest celebrations!
From 28 September we will be pouring the official Oktoberfest beers, providing traditional German sausages and snacks, enjoying live entertainment, and having a great time! The best part?.. Entry is free!
The beer will be served from Hop on the Beer Bus's craft beer bus - specially adapted for the Traditional German Festival occasion!
In case of high turnouts during some sessions, acquiring a ticket beforehand will guarantee you priority entry!
Choose from an afternoon or evening slot (or both) on your preferred dates. You can come to as many sessions as you like but please be realistic - the tickets help us to know what to expect each session! The opening times are as follows:
Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays:- 1600 - 1930, 1930 - 2300
Fridays & Saturdays:- 1200 - 1730, 1730 - 2300
Sundays:- 1200 - 1630, 1630 - 2100
For the People...
Oktoberfest is referred to in German as a 'Volksfest' - literally "people's festival"! Oktoberfest is the biggest Volksfest by far, but there are others which always combine a beer (or wine) festival with a fairground!
So, just like the Oktoberfest Munich Beer Festival, entry to the Oktoberfest will be free to all! This way, anyone wishing to come and soak up the atmosphere of Oktoberfest right here in the UK may do so in Bristol and only needs to pay for as little or as much as they care to consume!
Although we won't have an entire fairground, there will be plenty to see and do (and drink). Non-alcoholic options will be available too.
This year also marks the half-century Birthday of the Reinheitsgebot, or Bavarian Purity Law of 1516! So we will also be celebrating the anniversary of this important part of German beer culture!
In the meantime, have a read of our Guide to the Oktoberfest over at our website with a brief history of the famous German beer festival!..
