Event Details

The spirit of the fairs continues to inspire folk with the Fairs Archive.

Old Hall in East Bergholt now in it's 41st year as a community is hosting a chance to come together to celebrate this East Anglian heritage. With music from the SOAS (School of African and Oriental Studies) Ceilidh band, the evening is about chatting, dancing, and possibly some future visioning.

As a community, Old Hall were discussing how we can help refugees, with the horror stories of people in plight. So all the Funds raised from this evening with go towards the local effort from Suffolk Refugee Support

PLEASE COME FOR SOUP AND ROLL PLUS CAKES AT THE START OF THE EVENING which will feed up well and help us raise more funds.

There is no charge for entry but we are asking people to say if they are coming by registering on this site. So please book your ticket. This also means you get a chance to read some info and if as sometimes can happen we need to let you all know something  it can be done easily. We are trialling this as a way to keep a tab on numbers and to see if it makes organising events any easier so please try it and help those not online to fill in the booking.

FREE but please bring some donations to contribute to the fundrasing efforts for Suffolk Refugee Supprt.

FOOD As well as a donation you can help buy buying a drink at the bar and also come to have soup, homemade roll and cakes.

NO Dogs please.

PARKING: please us the village car park behind the Red Lion pub  (near the shop) and walk round via church to chapel (a lantern will show you were to go). A GOOD IDEA TO BRING A TORCH.

NEED TO STAY OVER? This is only possible via a contact you may have with Old Hall as space will be very limited as we are putting up the band, Archivers to start with. For more info and questions do ask on the comments and we can call you back.

This isn't a publically advertised event but it is hoped we get plenty of folk to come and heat the chapel up with their conviviality and dancing.  We are sure the right folk will turn up. Especially warm welcome to those that were and are part of the fairs, there is a keen younger generation that wants to hear your stories and inspiration.

This organisation is being done by Old Hall Social Convenors via Dano's Eventbrite page. xxx There may be a facebook event page happening but then again there might not be. But you are welcome to share this with your friends on your social media platforms xxx

A poster can be send to you via if you want one .
