Frequently asked questions

Can we get into the Sally Port Inn before 1300?

By prior arrangement with Sally Port Walks and Talks.

Can we get drinks other than tea / coffee at the 1300 meet?

It would be possible to supply a glass of water or squash. Branded drinks can be purchased from the bar at the Sally Port Inn. We always plan to leave at 1330 hours.

Is there parking at the Sally Port Inn?

Unfortunately there is no free parking in the vicinity of the Sally Port Inn. If you are bringing a car there are numerous to pay for spots in the High Street or on Grand Parade. We would suggest 3 hours as a minimum. RingGo is the cashless option. There are plenty of public transport options.

Is there an option for a refreshment stop on the guided walk?

This is possible if the whole group agrees. This would add to the 90 minutes. Once the group has returned to the Sally Porty Inn there will be time for questions and a discussion about 'Buster' Crabb the Sally Port 'spy'. We would also encourage our guests to explore the three floors of antiques.

Can we buy drinks in the Sally Port Inn or make purchases In Sally Antiques?

Yes, both will be offering a full customer service.

Are there loos on the way round?

Yes. Hotwalls has public conveniences.

Are dogs welcome?

Yes, on a suitable short lead please :)

How accessible is the walk?

The tour is designed as a stroll not a romp. There are two sets of steps. One short flight, at the Round Tower, this can omitted by individuals if it's a bit tight. The other set is 29 steps with handrails either side. Please contact Sally Port Tours if further accessibility needs to be considered.
