OLD TESTAMENT IN CONTEXT (Level 5: Intermediate)

This course aims to deepen understanding of the Old Testament and how we might best engage with it as Christians today. Areas of focus will include the Psalms and the book of Job, as well as a selection of other particularly challenging passages in the Old Testament canon. We will explore how we might study the Old Testament and use it in contexts such as prayer and preaching. The course assumes a level of prior introductory learning and is designed for those who have already attended an Introduction to the Bible course or similar.

This course will be delivered online. Learning materials (videos, guided reading and online tasks) for week 1 will go ‘live’ on Fri 16th April. You will then work through these materials at your own pace, in time for your first group tutorial on Weds 21st. Learning materials for future weeks will be released each Friday, for you to work through ahead of each subsequent tutorial.

Bookings will close on Weds 14th April so that tutorial groups can be arranged before the course begins.
