A launch event for our new Older Adults Therapeutic Service (OATS).
About this event
Our new service for older adults experiencing mental health problems is built on principles of recovery through community connection, and therapeutic and meaningful support (including from peers).
A Black Country hub with support available in Dudley, Sandwell, Walsall and Wolverhampton means people will have a choice about where they access groups.
Join our launch event to find out more about the new service and those services it now brings together (Therapy and Recovery Unit (Sandwell), The Groves (Wolverhampton) and Therapy and Liaison Community Service (Walsall)).
The first half of the online workshop will describe the OATS model (way of working) and how people access the service.
The second half will be a networking opportunity for each locality (Dudley, Sandwell, Walsall and Wolverhampton) where older adult providers, organisations and staff can come together to build knowledge and connections.
We hope to see professionals from health, care and the voluntary sector join us.
We look forward to seeing you. If you have any accessibility requirements please contact bchft.communications@nhs.net.
