Older Women and Sexual Violence
Venue: In-Person Central Newcastle
Duration: 3 hours
Date & time: 10am-1pm Thursday 11th December
This training covers leading research into the nature, prevalence and impact of sexual violence and older women.
We will explore the societal context of sexual violence and older women and how this can create further barriers for older women to disclose their experiences and seek support. Learners will be provided with information on the impact and support needs of older women.
This training is recommended for anyone working with older women to learn more about this underreported and often underestimated support need.
This is a small group interactive multi-professional training event with a maximum of 12 participants.
Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided.
All of our in-person events are fully accessible. Whilst some of our services are specifically for women and girls, our training is open to everyone.
