Oliver Chapman | Oliver Chapman Architects
Oliver Chapman founded the practice in 1997, having worked briefly in Edinburgh, London and Vienna after studying at the Glasgow School of Art. His practice likes to be in the middle of many discussions, equally happy helping find a rationale for choosing a particular finish as choosing a strategy for delivering an economic, social or environmental benefit to a community.
His practice has received RIBA Awards for its work and he is an assessor for the annual Civic Trust Award and AJ AwardsOliver is a part time architecture studio tutor, most recently at Newcastle and previously at Edinburgh, and speaks regularly in public about the work and ethos of the practice. He also founded an early start-up co-working business in 2008.

The 57°10 Architecture Society - a name abstracted from our geographic location - is the largest and oldest society at Robert Gordon University. The society caters for an average of 140 members every year and is celebrating its 30th anniversary during the 2018/19 academic year. Open to all audiences, the society is a unique student driven collective from The Scott Sutherland School of Architecture & Built Environment; the most northerly architecture school in Scotland and the third oldest in the UK.
