What does the Oliver McGowan Mandatory training cover?

The training has been developed with reference to tier 1 and tier 2 capabilities contained within the nationally recognised Core Capabilities Framework for Supporting People with a Learning Disability and the Core Capabilities Framework for Supporting Autistic People.

Will there be regular breaks?

Yes, there are planned short breaks every 45 minutes throughout the session, as well as 1 hour for lunch if you are attending the full day training.

How do I access the elearning handbook?

The handbook is available from the elearning for healthcare platform, as a separate elearning session. By clicking “play”, the handbook automatically downloads to your device.

Do I have to do the Learning Disability and Autism training together?

No, you can do the Learning Disability and Autism training on separate occasions. However, you must complete the Learning Disability training prior to attending the Autism training.
