Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training Tier 1 Webinar - 1 hour
The Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Learning Disability and Autism is named after Oliver McGowan, whose death shone a light on the need for health and social care staff to have better training. The Health and Care Act 2022 introduced a requirement that service providers egistered with the CQC must ensure their staff receive a level of learning disability and autism training relevant to their role. The Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Learning Disability and Autism is as standardised training that was developed for this purpose and is the government's preferred and recommended training for health and social care staff.
Our sessions are all delivered by a learning disability nurse trainer and then supported by an autistic co trainer and a co trainer with a learning disability.
This webinar forms the second part of the Tier 1 standardised training.
