About this event

The training is available for healthcare staff, clinical and non-clinical, that come into contact with the public as part of their role who work for the Integrated Care Board.

There is an expectation you will attend the training. If in advance you cannot attend on the day you have booked, please notify the team as soon as possible via email. Your manager will be notified if you do not attend the training.


  • You must have completed the Oliver McGowan online part 1 training prior to attending this training.


  • It is the standardised training that was developed for this purpose and is the government's preferred and recommended training for health and social care staff.​​​


  • The Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Learning Disability and Autism is co-delivered by trainers with lived experience of learning disability and autism who are paid for their time.

Location of Training room at Brentwood Community Hospital

The training suite can be found on the first floor, turn right by reception, and follow the corridor to the lift. Take the lift to the first floor and go through the double doors in front of you. The training room is the on the right. There will be a team member on the day to direct you.

Facilities

The café is available to buy food and hot drinks. A water dispenser is available so bring a refillable water bottle.
