On Board London
Event Information
Description
The On Board programme is the United Kingdom’s leading training programme for Board Members of public bodies. It provides Board Members with practical information and guidance on their roles and responsibilities, ethical standards and other issues of accountability and governance.
It also provides practical advice on how to avoid some of the common pitfalls that Boards and Board Members can fall into and how to manage some of the crucial relationships within and outwith the Board.
The programme is delivered by David Nicholl, Managing Director of On Board Training. In the past 20 years, David Nicholl has trained more than 700 Boards of different kinds of public bodies and delivered more than 150 public/open On Board programmes in England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and further afield. He is widely recognised as the UK's leading expert in corporate governance in the public sector.
All delegates who attend (and complete) the On Board programme receive a Certificate of Attendance which confirms that they have met the National Minimum Training Requirement to serve on the Board of a UK public body. On Board is the only programme that meets this requirement. This Certificate is valid for a period of up to four years.
