On Crimes Against Humany and Genocide: A conversation between Professor Philippe Sands QC and Sir Terence Etherton, Master of the Rolls

To mark The Wiener Library's new exhibition, Crimes Uncovered: The First Generation of Holocaust Researchers, Professor Philippe Sands and Sir Terence Etherton will discuss the development, evolution and application of the legal concepts of Crimes Against Humanity and Genocide, and the challenges they face today.

About the speakers

Professor Philippe Sands QC teaches interntaional law at UCL and is the author of East West Street: on the Origins of Genocide and Crimes Against Humanity, winner of several prizes, including the 2016 Baillie Gifford Prize and the 2018 European Book Prize.

Sir Terence Etherton PC is Master of Rolls and Head of Civil Justice. He was previously Chancellor of the High Court and head of the Chancery Division of the High Court of England and Wales.
