Kingfly Embroidery Kit
David Morrish (founder of the brand Kingfly) is twice recipient of the Wilcom Digital Embroiderer of the year award, hosted by the Hand & Lock. David is also an Embroiderer’s Guild Scholar and recently has been accepted as Crafts Council member and QEST Scholar.
David’s distinctive style is bold, colourful and very tactile, resulting in a portfolio that crosses disciplines, subject matter and styles. Clients include: Natalie Imbruglia, Linda Barker, Daniel Lismore, Kim-Joy, Patrick Cox, Dannii Minogue, Le Fil and many more…
David has been featured in many embroidery publications, exhibitions and most recently on BBC 1 TV, Make it at Market. In January 2024 David showcased his first solo exhibition, titled Kingfly: My Safe Place, paying homage to a phrase his psychiatrist used when referring to his use of embroidery as amour, helping him overcome PTSD after suffering a road traffic accident in October 2022.
Kingfly specialises in crafting visually striking and instantly recognisable works of art using embroidery thread. Each piece is meticulously designed and created, leaving no compromise on quality or design detailing.
