Participants will explore a range of versatile stitches, with interchanging materials for an alternative outcome.
The Learning Outcome is to experiment and create a diverse range of stitch doodles suitable for any project idea!
We will begin with reviewing/learning basic hand embroidery techniques.
We will then move on to manipulate the look and feel of stitches with various materials via experimentation including the the thread thickness’ to see the affect in stitch appearance.
We will finish with a discussion of possible uses from pincushions to patches on clothing, pockets, tote bag decorations or just framed hoops!
Individuals should gain knowledge and the ability to alter the appearance of a basic stitch to develop a creative alternative.
We are running a number of short workshops and demonstrations which are £2.99 for members and between £10 and £15 for non-members. As well as upcoming events, members can also access recordings of past workshops at a reduced price, to watch at their leisure.
Why not join us to access this discount and other membership discounts too?
