About this event
Join this online workshop Use Your Stash with Tina Francis.
Do you have a stash of yarns and embroidery threads that aren't quite enough for a large project but a little bit too long for your ort jar? It's time to put those threads to use!
Join Tina as she shows you how even the smallest amount of thread can be part of a brilliant design. Geometric designs that can be used on aida, interlock or anything with a warp and weft. Spend some time looking at the colours you have in your stash and be bold enough to use them.
There will be four different patterns provided and Tina will demonstrate 2 of them during the sessions.
Achievement levels will be high because the included instruction zine will need to be created by you! Do not worry Tina will show you how to do this at the start.
Please note that this ticket is for a recording of the live event on 5 February. Tickets for the live event are available here. You will be emailed access details to the recording by 19 February. The recording is not downloadable but will be available for viewing until at least 19 March, 2025.

Your Tutor
Working with stitch gives you a different perspective on time. Tina Francis measures her days in inches not hours. Having taught herself to stitch by completing unfinished second hand tapestries, she went on to create tapestry needlepoint kits and patterns.
A published author with Search Press, Tina enjoys writing about stitch as much as doing it. A needle is the true global citizen and can be used to speak when a language is not shared so she works a lot with community groups creating stitch delights.
Having worked with community groups Tina developed her stitch tool, Connect More, which creates a meeting place through craft and exchange and is currently using this in creative health and art projects.
Yarn has memory and even the smallest amount can create a new piece of work that continues its story.
Required Materials:
- Paper cutting scissors
- Print of the zine stitch instructions (double sided print)
