On… Developing Character
TED-style Mini Conference
John C Maxwell said, “Your success stops where your character stops. You can never rise above the limitations of your character”.
The world’s best differentiate themselves not on skills, knowledge or even personality. The difference is character. Intuitively, I suspect we all recognise that character and success go hand-in-hand. No doubt it is the reason that the All Blacks subscribe to the mantra “Better People Make Better All Blacks”. Like many other highly successful organisations, they recruit on character not skills. They also seek to develop character in people before skills in players.
So, if character is pivotal to sustained success, how do you develop it? How can we go beyond skills, knowledge and even personality, to develop character?
During this TED-style Mini Conference, we will learn from three fantastic speakers, who will share their insights and experience on how to develop character.
