On the right tracks: Growing hops in unusual places
Thu 20 April 2017, 18:30 – 21:00 BST
UBREW is a radically open brewery - where you can brew your own beer - in two railway arches in the famous brewing area, Bermondsey (nr London Bridge).
So when Energy Garden, the world’s first citywide community energy and gardening project, approached us to use some of their own hops from upto 50 overground platforms and stations - we hopped into action!
Come to this event and find out:
The history and current progress of the Energy Garden project
The beer itself: the process of growing the hops on the overground, harvesting it with community groups and the brew at UBREW
Community wellbeing, sustainable development and visions for growing hops (and other plants) across London
