Join Jonathan Radetz and Babette Wiezorek to explore the emotional power of surfaces. Together, we’ll feel, examine, and reflect on how touch shapes the way we experience the world.

Touch is one of our most powerful ways of experiencing the world. On Touch is a design-based research project exploring how surfaces shape our emotions and create what we might call “atmospheric” experiences.

At Kazerne, you’ll explore a collection of “tactile objects” that invite you to feel, examine, and even classify the emotional qualities of different surfaces. Can they calm us, energize us, or offer a sense of stability? Can texture help us anticipate a space before we truly enter it?

This session encourages you to slow down and notice how physical sensation and emotion are deeply connected. Stay for coffee, share your impressions, and leave with a renewed awareness of how the world’s surfaces quietly shape your experience.

Babette Wiezorek

Product designer and art historian

Babette Wiezorek transforms porcelain with code and 3D-printing into poetic objects that explore the intersection of craft and digital art. Inspired by material, technique, and form, her work blends precision with imagination to create pieces that are both expressive and contemporary. In 2017, she co-founded the design studio Additive Addicted, which merges generative coding with porcelain to create unique, sculptural objects.

Jonathan Radetz

Multidisciplinary designer

Frankfurt-based designer with a background in cabinet making and product design. He creates furniture, accessories, and jewelry that reinterpret modern forms with clarity and elegance. Inspired by fashion, architecture, nature, and people, his work blends playfulness with precision to craft objects that feel both timeless and contemporary.

This workshop has a limited number of 20 spots. Participation is € 7,50 per person. Explore, feel, and reflect, a sensory experience for curious minds and hands, where touch reveals how surfaces shape the way we experience the world.
