One day business start up course
Wed 7 December 2016, 09:30 – 17:00 GMT
If you have ever thought you might like to set up a small business or social enterprise, this course is for you. We will help you think about what would be the right business for you and whether it would be viable. Along the way we will give you all the tools you need to assess ideas in the future. The teaching and stimulating exercises build into a mini-business plan. No prior knowledge or experience is needed.
This shortened one-day version will cover all the key material and you will leave with the full workbook. It is being offered free of charge because we will be taking background film for a promotional video. A sandwich lunch will be provided.
The course will be led by Jerry Marshall, who has set up five successful small businesses and social enteprises. He writes the 'Mind your own business' column in the NFU Countyside magazine and is CEO of Germinate: The Arthur Rank Centre.
