Description

A taster workshop for our popular 8-week course Stories from the Body, exploring how the theatre-making process can be used to strengthen mental health.

Aimed at those interested in:

  • working with communities to build confidence and trust through self-expression and creativity
  • movement (could include dance) and health
  • how the arts can benefit mental health and help facilitate parity of esteem between mental and physical health
  • Applied Theatre (professional practitioners and students)
  • protection against stress and boosting emotional resilience

Moving Pieces theatre company is an innovative mental health provision, led by Charlie Blowers (a UKCP registered psychotherapist and clinical supervisor with over 18 years’ experience of clinical practice working with people experiencing emotional distress) and Jose Parra (a specialist in mime and physical theatre).
