Event description

Description

Local GPs, NHS organisations, and councils are coming together to plan and redesign local health and care services to benefit us all, now and in the years ahead.

Working as the One Health & Care Partnership, and backed by the leaders of everyone involved, they are combining their expertise and resources to develop ways of giving nurses, doctors, and carers the best chance to look after people. Building on successes achieved so far to improve services, the partnership includes:

  • Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust
  • Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust
  • NHS West Essex Clinical Commissioning Group and
  • Essex County Council

In November these partners met with VCSE representatives to discuss ways in which we could work together more effectively in the future.

There are some clear opportunities for collaboration and so the One Partnership would like to continue to meet with the VCSE to discuss these over the next year. It is felt that the best way to do this will be to combine VCSE workshops with Assemblies of the wider One Partnership stakeholders and focus each workshop on a specific theme.

The first workshop will be held on Monday 17 June 9am – 12.30pm at the Harlow Civic Centre and will focus on the following 2 themes:

  • Permitted Housing Developments in Harlow and the health needs of residents
  • Innovative ways of communicating health and care messages to harder to reach groups, including migrants, those with learning disabilities, and those with access needs

In the afternoon, the new One Partnership will officially launch and you are invited to stay for lunch with One Partnership partners and attend the official launch to find out more. You can book your space here

There will be an opportunity for VCSE organisations to showcase some of the work you are doing/services you offer during the lunch break. If you would like to do this please email kate@rainbowservices.org.uk to indicate your interest. Space will be limited so can you please indicate if you are happy to share space with another organisation or simply bring literature which can be displayed on a general table.

We hope to see you there!”
