ONE Life Sciences Leadership Forum - Marketing Masterclasses

The ONE Life Sciences Leadership Forum will explore effective marketing for life sciences businesses over a series of four workshops in September, October and November 2021.

By the end of this programme, delegates will have gained know-how, techniques and guidance on how to engage their audiences, create impactful content and develop marketing talent within their businesses. This will include:

• Deliberately create engagement with an audience – whether it is one or 100 people, presentation or facilitation;

• Tailor content and style for different audiences and scenarios to achieve different outcomes;

• Deliver an effective presentation online with energy, conviction and impact;

• Create the right slides and visual tools to support presentations;

• Prepare and rehearse for maximum impact; and

• Find the right people for a marketing role and develop them towards high performance.

These objectives will be delivered through four 90-minute bespoke workshops:

1. Engagement: Maximising Engagement with an Online Audience

2. Content: the Number One Technique used by Professional Communicators

Tuesday 19 October 12.30pm – 2.00pm

3. Impact: Use your Biology to Create Impact Online

Tuesday 2 November 12.30pm – 2.00pm

4. Marketing Capability: Sustain Impact by Sourcing and/or Developing Marketing Talent

Tuesday 16 November 12.30pm – 2.00pm

For maximum benefit, delegates should attend all four workshops. The ticket options also enable delegates to attend one or more individual workshops.

The workshops are fully funded by Opportunity North East and delivered with the Life Sciences Marketing Academy. They will be led by the firm’s director Alix Mackay. Specialising in life sciences and healthcare, Alix works with growing enterprises, start-ups and academic entrepreneurs to build their internal marketing capabilities. Through The Life Sciences Marketing Academy, Alix translates over 20 years of marketing and sales experience in the industry into online training courses, bespoke coaching and intern programmes.

The ONE Life Sciences Leadership Forum supports the industry's ambition to double the number of life sciences companies in north east Scotland. It brings together the region's life sciences community to address growth-related issues, collaborative innovation and commercialisation. Participants are management team members and decision-makers within companies based in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire or academics, clinicians and researchers with interest in life sciences commercialisation. Spaces on the workshops are limited and subject to approval by ONE with preference given to those already working within life sciences businesses.
