Event description
Prof. NIdhal Guessoum, Swami Medhananda and Dr David Gosling will reflect their personal interests in the Science – Religion debates.

About this Event

We shall hear from 3 contributors – from India, the United Arab Emirates, and the UK. Each will present 20 minutes on the theme connected to Science and Religion, and there will be 30 minutes for questions and discussion.

The 3 speakers are:

Prof. NIdhal Guessoum (Muslim), Algerian astrophysicist and professor at the American University of Sharjah, United Arab Emirates

Swami Medhananda (Hindu), Assistant Professor and Head of Department of Philosophy, Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Educational and Research Institute, West Bengal, India

Dr David Gosling (Christian), Faculty of Divinity, University of Cambridge

The speakers will each reflect their personal interests in the Science – Religion debates as well as address general issues.

The overall theme of Science and Religion embraces how the religious imagination relates to the working assumptions of scientists in their experimental investigations of life’s processes as well as to the practical applications of the fruits of research and discovery.

This year’s event promises to be not only a new venture for WCF but also an exciting journey into dialogue between traditions and with the amazing world of scientific achievements.

The event will be free to attend but we would be delighted if you wished to make a donation. To do so, please go to
