This 2-hour webinar, by The Scottish Gambling Education Hub, a Fast Forward programme, is available for a limited time only, and is open to anyone working within youth services, family services, formal education or academics in Scotland. We are delighted to announce that we will have representation from the Scottish Centre for Social Research Team at this event. Our guest speaker will present findings from a piece of qualitative contemporary research on the retail, display and marketing of nicotine products in Scotland.Children and young people are increasingly being exposed to gambling, alcohol and nicotine products in our communities. They are deliberately being "placed" in plain sight behind the counter alongside each other to create a "one stop shop " highlighting the convenience, accessibility and deliberate connections in conjunction with appealing advertising design and slogans. In this webinar, we will identify the potential harms of these products while exploring the impact of their design and marketing on children and young people.Following a harm reduction approach, we will also share free educational resources with links to specialist support. Please note: this webinar will be hosted on Zoom.Interested in a gambling education and prevention training session but cannot join through Zoom? Please contact donna@fastforward.org.uk to discuss options.
