ONE-TO-ONE LEGAL SURGERIES
Marketing Peak District & Derbyshire are offering a programme of one-to-one COVID-19 Virtual Legal Surgeries for the Visitor Economy, in conjunction with Travlaw LLP Solicitors.
Eligible visitor economy businesses' will be able to book a 15-minute virtual appointment with Emma Shakespeare, Senior Associate Solicitor at Travlaw, and Ami Naru, Partner and Head of Employment at Travlaw, to access helpful one-to-one business support. Please register your interest here and we will contact you with your allocated time and sign in details for your meeting.

About our experts:
Emma Shakespeare: Emma is a Senior Associate at Travlaw and heads up the Corporate Governance & Corporate department. In addition to advising her clients on a range of regulatory and commercial matters, ranging from the legal and regulatory challenges involved in setting up a travel business in the UK to advising clients on the complexities of the Package Travel Regulations, Emma is particularly experienced in B2B commercial contracts and corporate governance. Emma has recently hosted a number of webinars to support the travel industry in light of the unprecedented challenges of Covid-19 including advice on directors duties, practical tips for promoting a culture of good corporate governance and the Government’s recent announcement on the relaxation of the Insolvency legislation. Prior to joining Travlaw, Emma has spent her career in commercial, corporate and finance law roles in London as well as being Deputy Group Company Secretary to a global design engineering business.
Ami Naru: Ami has focused on building an enviable employment practice serving the travel industry. She regularly works with ABTA, and other industry bodies. Ami heads up the employment team at Travlaw. She exclusively serves the travel and leisure industry with its employment law needs. Ami is highly experienced in all aspects of employment law, both contentious and non–contentious. She has pretty much seen all there is when it comes to issues with employees. She regularly advises clients on matters such as board and senior level appointments and exits, business reorganisations and redundancies, TUPE, cross jurisdictional disputes and disciplinary and grievance procedures. Ami is your one stop shop for all aspects of employment law. Ami has also gained an enviable litigation record defending a wide variety of claims for clients in the Employment Tribunal, Employment Appeal Tribunal and High Court. Ami is also an experienced advocate who adopts a “cradle to grave” approach in advising clients.
