Members of the cultural and heritage sectors looking for support and intelligence around digital projects are invited to join AmbITion Scotland in partnership with Interface - the knowledge connection for business for one-to-one advice and support.
These sessions will help you if you have an idea about a digital project and are looking for some help to get started.
When? Seven, half-hour, one-to-one advice sessions are available on 20 March 2013
Who? Interface is a central hub connecting creative businesses to the knowledge, expertise and facilities within Scotland’s universities, helping businesses with everything from new product development and consumer research through to sustainability, business strategy and digital design.
Interface can help you access support by identifying potential academic partners, helping you broker a relationship with them to develop your business ideas. Interface can also help you access the various funding opportunities available to offset the cost of your collaboration.
Previous attendees said that the one-to-one session: "gave me info I didn't have before, and cleared up several questions - the Interface service is definitely relevant to us."
These sessions are aimed at creative individuals or businesses who would like to:
- develop a new product, process or service, but lack the skills or expertise to realise their concept - skills that may exist in a Scottish higher education institution;
- discover how ICT & digital media expertise in Scotland's universities can impact their business;
- access under/postgraduate students who specialise in the latest technologies and could help develop their ideas.
To learn more about the types of support available - including case studies of Interface's work with the cultural and heritage sector see the Get Support section of the AmbITion Scotland site.
Individuals looking to maximise the support available to help them realise their digital ideas can also access members of the AmbITion Scotland team to discuss projects’ relevance to the Make:IT:Happen Fund, as part of their one-to-one session.
Make:IT:Happen is a new fund created by AmbITion Scotland specifically for organisations in the arts, culture and heritage sectors in Scotland, to help them capitalise on the opportunities presented by digital technologies. Over £400,000 is being awarded to a range of organisations to enable them to increase business capability, capacity, creativity and confidence across four digital investment funds.
To book please select your session from the time slots indicated above.
