POTENTIAL BADBOY (PLAYAZ)
From the early nineties, producing for ‘Ibiza’ and ‘E Records’ and the eponymous SOUR imprint, home to a number of junglist luminaries (including the likes of Shy FX & T Power), Potential Bad Boy went on to create his own imprint; 3rd Eye Records. After a number of dance releases, in 1997, he turned his back on the jungle scene to focus on the garage world. During this time, he had a number of remix projects running, including working for MCA, on official remixes for artists including the likes of Shaggy, Mary J Blige, Nelly and more under his ’3rd Eye Productions’ moniker.
ARIES (Born on road)
Aries' sound combines vintage Jungle sensibilities with traditional Reggaemusic polished off with modern day production techniques. The finished product is his own Dubwise strain of the UK's one true homegrown genre, Jungle
Bladerunner’s sets showcase many of his original compositions and exclusive remixes with consistently heavy beats and punishing basslines,
His own compositions and collaborations include crowd favourites – Spartan Law, Mercenary Dub and More Prophet. Recent hits Snake Fist and Back to the Jungle also topped the BBC Radio 1 Drum & Bass charts.
WHINEY (MED SCHOOL/HOSPITAL)
With over twelve years spent in choirs and orchestras and not to mention his grade eight achievements in both violin and piano, it was inevitable that music was going to play a prominent part in Will’s future. At a mere eleven years old he discovered his love for drum & bass through Pendulum’s ‘Slam’. With his eyes and ears opened to wider musical possibilities he rinsed through their back catalogue and became inspired to create the music he’d become surrounded by.
