Description

The 15th O'Neill's Ulster GAA Coaching & Games Development Conference will take place on Saturday 17th November 2018 in the Glenavon House Hotel, Cookstown, Co. Tyrone

The theme of this year's conference will focus on the ‘Player Development Pathway'.

Line-up includes many past and present top players and coaches in panel discussions around a range of topics affecting player development, including - Marty Clarke (Down) - Rory Beggan (Monaghan) - Patrick Morrison (Armagh) - Joe Passmore & Paul McIvor (Derry) - Sean Cavanagh, Niall Morgan, Mattie McGleenan & Ryan Mellon (Tyrone).

  • Brian Cuthbert - Former Cork player and Senior Manager

  • Mickey Donnelly - St Ronan's Lurgan and Derry U.20 Football Coach

  • Tara Grimes - Nutrition & Fitness Coach

The initial workshops will look at developing goalkeepers, coaching through games, managing injury risks and recovery strategies and the breaking down and development of skills for Gaelic Football.

The afternoon sessions will commence with a Keynote address by nutrition & fitness coach, Tara Grimes, who will provide tips on how to mamage time, how to 'switch off' and what to eat and when. This will be followed by panel sessions on Player Development through Creating the Right Environment and Working in Partnership across Schools, Clubs and County.

The delegate cost of £30/€35 includes attendance at the conference and lunch.
