Event description
Enhance your creative skills while in isolation: Online art activities you can do from your home

About this Event

REIMAGINE THE WORLD AROUND YOU

These 3 episodes are designed to allow you to express yourself through art and reconnect with the world you’re isolated from.

In every episode, our viewers will be able to learn new cool techniques to make art using everyday objects in their homes to give them a different meaning through art.

● In the first episode, you will learn how to reshape straws using hot steam to make a beautiful rainbow in solidarity with frontline NHS workers.

● In the second episode, you will learn how to manipulate plastic materials using steam to create amazing and breathtaking landscapes.

● It’s straws again in episode three, where we’ll use these versatile and colourful tubes to make some fantastical 3D sculptures!

SPONSORSHIP & FUNDING

As you know, Laura I. Gallery is a self-funded community project. During this time of social and physical isolation, we would like to continue to provide as much for free as possible.

As a result, we are unable to provide the materials as we normally would for all online attendees. If you are able, please purchase an activity pack for yourself. And if you can, we are asking people to ‘pay it forward’ by making a donation to ensure someone else can get an activity pack, too. If you’d like to do that to help keep our activities accessible to all, please get in touch. And if you are in need of activity materials, please let us know, so we can distribute donated supplies.
