Mike will be speaking on behalf of himself and co-author, Paul Bingley. His talk focuses on the experiences of the crews of the 381st Bomb Group during WWII. Following the 381st BG through the daylight precision bombing campaign is the ideal way to gain understanding of the Air War fought by the Mighty Eighth Airforce. Mike Peters was a career soldier he served for over 30 years in the British Army’s, Army Air Corps. Mike gained extensive operational experience on the ground and in the air, serving in Northern Ireland, Bosnia, Kosovo, both Gulf Wars and finally in Afghanistan. Throughout his military career Mike maintained a lifelong interest in military history and visiting the sites of historic battles around the world.
