One of Jesus’ final prayers before He died was that His followers would be one. (see John 17:21-23).

The issue of unity of believers definitely weighed on the heart of the Lord Jesus. That is why he prayed and repeated the prayer for unity, twice in three verses.

The other reason why Jesus prayed for unity of believers is because unity is important to the success of Jesus’ mission and salvation of the world as recorded in John 17 verse 23 “that they may be perfected (spiritually matured) and completed into one, so that the world may know [without any doubt] that You sent Me, and [that You] have loved them, just as You have loved Me.”

It is obviously regrettable that there is so much divisions today that have hurt several people.

Every believer knows that Christian differences and divisions impede missions, can defile and is a barrier to the supernatural power of the Lord that enables the world to be drawn to Jesus.

We are not asking anyone to compromise their faith but we believe there should be dialogue to help us learn from one another. There should be Biblical Conversations – forum that enables us to listen to others and be listen to.

Biblical conversation towards unity without compromising is a weekly programme done in the context of humility, prayer and real desire for God’s truth.

This weekly programme is an environment to examine scriptures and bring out and address differences, if any, especially in understanding, to God in prayer.

Grasping what God says in the Bible some time takes time — but also it could come like a bolt of lightning! So, be ready to be patient and give others the opportunity to process explanation.

There will be special sessions on questions and answers.

Come along, it will be wonderful, challenging, thrilling, and definitely transformational.

Finally, as you come, remember what God says in 1 Corinthians 13:12 through a very intelligent and highly academically qualitied Apostle who visited heaven three times:

1 Corinthians 13:12 12 ”Now we see things imperfectly, like puzzling reflections in a mirror, but then we will see everything with perfect clarity.[c] All that I know now is partial and incomplete, but then I will know everything completely, just as God now knows me completely.”

So, come, not as experts, but in love, as someone that wants to learn but also help others to know more about God.
