ABOUT SMART KIDS IN TOWN- SK!T

Children are bombarded with negative messages about climate change and the danger to the planet, but we should also be educating them in a way that does not provoke nightmares.

Is your child concerned about the climate issues facing the planet today? Have they suffered with nightmares caused by eco-anxiety? Do you think the messages aimed at children are tantamount to scare mongering?

Do you think children need to learn more about the climate issues we face in a format that is easier to absorb, that educates and allows them to explore?

At Smart Kids in Town, we want children to be more knowledgeable about social issues. The most prominent social issues facing young children today being Climate Change and Mental Health Issues. We are committed to talking to, teaching and informing children with the tools they need to learn that THEY can make a difference. The small steps that we as individuals practise in our homes, schools and neighbourhoods can collectively make THE DIFFERENCE. As we educate children, they educate other children at the playground or in the classrooms making sure we take the correct messages forward in a positive manner.
