This short online course for female professionals examines techniques and gives practical advice for getting the best out of panel discussion opportunities.
While in-person events are currently on hold, this course provides a good opportunity to master this format in preparation for live events, as well as gain further tips for webinars.
Panel discussions are an integral part of industry event programmes, and provide an excellent entry-point for women to raise their profile at industry events and gain public speaking experience.
The course will cover the following topics:

Who should register for the course?
This course is designed for women from the real estate industry who already have some experience of panel discussions as well as those who are new to it. This training is particularly relevant for female professionals who are part of the Women Talk Real Estate database and want to expand their skills, or those looking to gain experience and confidence in public speaking before featuring in the network.
Who is running the course?
Andrea Carpenter, Co-founder and Director, Women Talk Real Estate
Andrea Carpenter is a Director of Women Talk Real Estate, and a writer and communications consultant in the property industry.
As a Director of Women Talk Real Estate, Andrea helps raise the visibility of female experts in the industry through the stage and media. On the writing side, her book about the history of the modern European property industry, High Rise and Fall, was published by Routledge in September 2018.
Andrea began her career as a journalist at Property Week before moving on to be editor of EuroProperty for seven years. Following this she worked for various industry bodies including the Urban Land Institute, INREV in Amsterdam, and its sister organisation ANREV in Hong Kong. On returning to the UK, she worked as Head of Marketing and Communications EMEA at CBRE Global Investors.
Mark Dailey, Partner, Madano
Women Talk Real Estate has partnered with Mark Dailey a Partner from Madano, a strategic communications consultancy, to deliver this course.
Mark leads Madano’s coaching and training business, designing programmes to help companies manage complex change, improve engagement and productivity, and strengthen communications. He also advises firms on strategy, corporate positioning and internal communications.
Before joining Madano in 2011, Mark was head of corporate affairs at Standard Chartered Wholesale Banking and held similar roles in London at Credit Suisse Asset Management, GAM and JPMorgan Asset Management. Head of Communications for four banks, worked for the Hong Kong Trade Development Council over the handover and was a journalist and newsreader for 12 years.
Before his banking career, he held a senior comms position during the handover in Hong Kong with the Hong Kong Trade Development Council and had an 11-year career in television with TVB in Hong Kong and CBC TV in Canada.

What's the refund policy?
Women Talk Real Estate will issue a full refund for cancellations received no less than 24-hours prior to the scheduled broadcast start time.
