Event description
A free webinar with the EdTech Demonstrators Programme

About this event

Digital Learning Cornwall is the EdTech training department of the Aspire Academy Trust; we are delighted to be working as a demonstrator setting as part of this DfE-backed national support project funded until at least March 2022.

We cut through the hype and jargon to identify and demonstrate technologies that have real impact in primary education.

A session for school and multi-academy management and leaders / business managers / IT managers / EdTech & Computing curriculum leaders.

The cyber security threat to schools is on the increase. The impact of ransomware, data breaches and fraud can be hugely damaging.

This session will help you to understand the nature of these risks and:

• Help you to identify the risks in your network

• Focus on simple steps that make a big difference

• Demo tools within MS Office 365 to improve security

• Explore security by design - considerations when implementing systems

• Discuss Cyber Essentials - a framework to help guide your next steps

• Cover Data protection implications

Suggested as a quick-burst, hour long session... you will be welcome to continue conversations through Q+A and by registering for further free 1:1 support through the EdTech Demonstrator programme.

Get in touch and let us help you... all FREE through DfE funding until Easter 2022.

All sessions are free to attend via the DfE's EdTech Demonstrator Programme. When signing up for training events, attendees from educational settings in England are required to register interest in the EdTech Demonstrator Programme. This can then, if required, lead to a maximum of 30 hours bespoke support for your school, college, or early years provider and all staff.

We will offer a quick, introductory meeting should you wish to take the FREE DfE-funded opportunities further and tailor it to your own school and staff circumstances – we can offer bespoke, in-depth support and CPD tailored to your staff needs. Whilst we specialise in primary pedagogy, our MAT-wide infrastructure knowledge and experience is in many ways applicable to secondary education. Do drop us a line.
